Welcome to SameWave. By accessing or using our mobile application and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using SameWave, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Description of Service
SameWave is a task management application designed for couples to organize and share responsibilities. Features include:
- Creating and managing tasks with ownership (Mine, Theirs, Shared)
- Connecting with a partner to share tasks
- Calendar integration and push notifications
- Expense tracking and insights
- Subscription-based premium features
3. Account Registration
To use SameWave, you must:
- Be at least 13 years of age
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Keep your account credentials secure
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Partner Connections
When you invite a partner to connect with you on SameWave:
- Both parties must consent to the connection
- Shared tasks and certain activity will be visible to both partners
- Either partner may disconnect at any time
- Upon disconnection, shared data access will be revoked
5. Subscriptions and Payments
SameWave offers subscription plans with the following terms:
- Free Trial: New users receive a 7-day free trial of premium features
- Shared Subscription: When one partner subscribes, both connected partners receive premium access
- Billing: Subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play
- Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings
- Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any illegal purpose
- Harass, abuse, or harm others
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Use automated means to access the service without permission
- Upload malicious code or content
7. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you create in SameWave (tasks, notes, etc.). By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content as necessary to provide the service.
8. Intellectual Property
SameWave and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.
9. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.
10. Disclaimers
SameWave is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:
- The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Defects will be corrected
- The service is free of viruses or harmful components
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
16. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law. You waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits.
